G+ Means that the Networking Walls are Down

I was on Google Plus before it was open for everyoneMark Zuckerberg on Google Plus“ I wasn’t much of a Wave user and never really got into Buzz, but I’m kinda digging G+ so far. Still much improvement to be made, but the conversations are flying and it’s so easy to connect with anyone you want. :) G+ is a better way to experience all of Google, not necessarily a threat to Facebook (or Twitter or Flickr or whatever); but my guess is a large cross-section of people will simply choose to spend more time on G+ vs. other sites.”

This is the “take” of Mari Smith someone I respect a lot about this stuff.

Have spent much of the last 5 days on Google+. Has been fascinating

“It’s so easy to connect with anyone you want” This is so true. The Walls have been broken down. Whereas before you may get a 140 tweet from someone occassionally now you can full conversations in threads and pop in and out of hangouts with people you barely dreamed of connecting with. So many of us stick to a relatively small circle of friends on Facebook and Twitter but right now on Google+ it is open slather.

Without hashtags Twitter is still king but as for Facebook? Google have better tools and respect so expect to see the “time on Facebook” half over the next few weeks or so as people build their Google + presence and refine their circles and familiarise themselves with the amazing website.

So play cool. Be fun and friendly and you will be added to circles. Spam, talk about yourself to much and you will be removed from circles. Define your niche and stick to it in comments. Suddenly there are a lot of people watching you that you dinot know but people you want relationships with. Now is the chance!

The Android application gives us the ability to text in huddles and this may come to email soon I guess. Definetely exciting times for connecting and for the spreading of love, wisdom and consciousness.

Thank you Google

Today an analytics website revealed the top 100 Google+ users so far. Very clever of them as there is no API yet. Guess who has been added to the most circles?
