“10% of your community drives 90% of the conversation”. How do you find them?

Sometimes one image or quote or statistic can produce a massive change in our thinking and focus and today this one “got me”.
Recently i have been participating in a community that is working together and sharing learning on how to improve the presence of our Facebook pages. In order to contribute better to our group I have been examining the “social media science” behind what makes a successful Facebook business or community page. Today I have been trying out the “TOP FANS” app by Booshaka. When I went to their website I saw this quote.
“10% of your community drives 90% of the conversation”.
I am now using their app and have added it as one of the 4 profiled tabs on my page.
So from today I will be paying close attention to my top fans and promoting one of them from the top 10.
Liz Manness stands out for me so today she is going to get a lot of attention.

Focusing on who is around rather than who or not is very powerful indeed. Facebook pages are becoming an increasingly powerful part of our social presence. I have watched my friend and social media superstar here in Kanagawa, Japan Eric Berg make great use of the Top Fans app in the past week. I hope that you try it as well.
Another great way to find and thank and engage with people is to click on your photo and see the “shares”. Click through and they are all there for you.
I am also looking more and more closely at my Twitter analytics to find who is talking to and retweeting me and taking note of who has voted for me in the Shorty Awards too.
