Why are you using Social Media? Do you know?
Posted on December 21, 2011 by @mqtodd
In the last few months I have established Why I am here and Why I do what I do which of course means Why I do Social Media. Life has since become extremely easy and unstressful for me.
There is no god or bad in any day for me anymore. No ups or downs. There just is.
To have success in your life you need to know your Why. Your Why is the drive behind your actions, as well as the motivation to accomplishing your dreams and goals.
Identify your Why factor. When you log in each day get as clear as you can on Why you do it.
I want you to get very strong on this. Meditate if you have to (that`s how I did it). First be grateful that you have the choice to be so free and have the time and resources to have a social media presence.
• Your Why must be very clear and definite before you will go anywhere in your business or life.
Your relationships can also benefit from a Why.
• You need total clarity with your Why or you may get hung up on “success” and become despondent.
Your Why will be your reason to stay disciplined and remain focused on building your business, your network, your skills during the good times and even if disaster strikes.
Where are you in your business at this time? You may be just starting out, or maybe you haven’t started yet, or perhaps you have been in your business for a long time. This is immaterial as there is one thing I will say with total confidence:
“In any business you will be frequently tested, so you need to be focused in order to succeed”.
So having your Why clear in your mind will be the basis of your daily online activity.
You need to find out your Why, and define this in your heart and mind before you do anything else.
Some of the most successful people have had their most profitable ideas after they have had their biggest failures. They knew their Why and had the mindset ‘to never quit’.
The reason they were able to achieve success was because they knew Why they were doing what they were doing.
So many people give up and it is upsetting to hear of people becoming defeated, simply because they didn’t push through the tough times.
Your Why keeps you going whenever you face rejection of your product, service or opportunity.
Your Why keeps you focused when family and friends aren’t behind you, or criticize what you are doing.
We have all shared, with friends and family, a great idea, only to have them not be supportive and maybe they will tell you that you won’t make it or you are wasting your time.
Having a strong Why will make you immune to this undermining occurrence.
What to do now…
Define for yourself your Why.
Think about it, and WRITE IT DOWN
If you are going through tough times, remind yourself that this is the reason Why you are going through these tough times, so don’t be put off.
This may be the difference between success and failure. If you stay committed to your Why and your Why is good there is no chance of failure.
Choose success and know Your Why.
Once and only once you have determined your brand and your reason then others will be able to effectively support, recommend and connect you. In this increasing connected online world what you want to achieve can be heavily fastracked if you get this right.
You are going to have an amazing 2012.
